This rare Danish corner chair, designed by Henning Kjærnulf and likely produced by EG Møbler in the 1960s, combines sculptural Brutalist design with Baroque-inspired craftsmanship. Crafted from solid quarter-sawn oak, the chair features a warm honey-toned patina and beautifully pronounced natural grain. Its distinctive wrap-around backrest is supported by carved razorblade-shaped splats and turned spindle posts, creating an architectural silhouette characteristic of Kjærnulf's style. Sculptural legs and a gently curved apron enhance the robust yet elegant construction. The original forest green upholstered seat provides a refined contrast to the warm oak frame. Carefully inspected, the chair remains structurally solid and stable, preserving its authentic vintage character. Ideal as an accent chair, occasional seat or desk chair in Scandinavian, Mid-Century Modern or eclectic interiors. The attribution to EG Møbler remains unconfirmed.
