This Danish lounge chair dates from the 1930s and features a solid stained beechwood frame with elegantly curved armrests and balanced proportions characteristic of the period. The sculptural wooden construction is paired with a generous seat and gently winged backrest with button tufting, creating a refined silhouette that bridges Art Deco and early Scandinavian design. The chair retains its original upholstery, which shows significant wear, discoloration and tears, and is therefore offered as a restoration project requiring complete reupholstery. The sturdy frame and graceful lines provide an excellent foundation for restoration and allow the next owner to select a fabric that complements its original character. Structurally solid and carefully inspected, the chair preserves the craftsmanship and quality materials of 1930s Danish cabinetmaking. It has been cleaned and carefully treated. Worldwide insured shipping is available, with professional packing in a custom-made wooden crate.
