Introduce an enduring icon of Italian design with this Amanta square coffee table, designed by Mario Bellini for C&B Italia in the early 1970s, a pivotal era for mid-century modern and Organic Modern furniture. Crafted from heavy, rigid fiberglass, the table showcases the smooth, monolithic silhouette typical of Bellini’s forward-thinking approach to form and material. Its bold yet minimal profile reflects the innovative spirit of Italian design during the post-war economic boom, when experimentation with new materials like Fiberlite redefined functional furniture. Originating from Italy, this piece has been professionally refinished in a satin black finish that emphasizes its sculptural quality while preserving the original structural integrity. The result is a statement-making coffee table that seamlessly bridges art and utility. The table is in good condition, with age-appropriate wear that adds to its authentic character. Whether placed in a contemporary living room or curated collector’s space, this Amanta table brings both historic significance and distinctive style to interior settings.
