This elegant coffee table, created in the manner of Jansen, reflects the refined sophistication of French design from the 1950s. The table features a richly ebonized wooden base, offering a dramatic contrast to the luminous marble top. Its clean lines and balanced proportions are hallmarks of mid-century French neoclassical modernism, a style long associated with the influential Maison Jansen. Designed as a cocktail or center table, it brings a sense of understated luxury to both classic and modern interiors. The marriage of darkened wood and natural stone highlights the period’s focus on noble materials and timeless craftsmanship. Sourced from France, the piece tells a story of postwar European elegance and enduring design influence. The table remains in very good vintage condition, showing minor wear commensurate with age that enhances its character without detracting from its visual impact. A sophisticated statement piece for a curated living space.
