Carlo Scarpa 'Samo' Dining Table for Simon Gavina, Italy, 1970s
SAFE PAYMENTS
This Italian dining table from the 1970s features architectural legs inspired by Roman columns, crafted from gray granite with small fossils and shells. Part of Simon's 'Ultrarazionale' collection, it was designed as a counter-reaction to the mass-produced polyester designs of the era. The oval top sits securely on dowels attached to the granite legs. The table is in good condition, with some old restorations on the top and a small chip on one leg. Despite these imperfections, it remains a striking and elegant piece.
