This Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern pendant lamp was designed by Carl Fagerlund for Orrefors in Sweden during the 1960s. The design centers around a substantial cylindrical shade in richly textured Orrefors crystal glass, weighing approximately 4 kg and creating a beautiful interplay of light through its sculptural surface. Brass elements complement the glass and have developed an attractive natural patina over time, adding warmth to the composition. The pendant is preserved in excellent vintage condition, with no chips or cracks to the glass. It requires one E27 bulb (E26 in the US) and is suitable for use internationally. The total height from the ceiling is 53 cm, with the glass shade measuring 25 cm high and 18 cm in diameter. An elegant example of Swedish lighting design combining exceptional glass craftsmanship with Fagerlund's refined modernist aesthetic.
