Exceptional wall lamp designed by Albano Poli for Poliarte in Italy during the 1970s, a striking example of Brutalist lighting design. The piece features a massive textured glass plate with a wavy surface that beautifully refracts and diffuses light, creating dynamic reflections when illuminated. This is paired with a dark, sculptural raw iron structure, forming a powerful contrast between transparency and solidity—hallmarks of the Brutalist aesthetic. Each lamp is unique due to the handcrafted nature of the glass. The design allows for both vertical and horizontal installation, offering versatility in different settings. Albano Poli, founder of Poliarte, is known for combining traditional glassmaking with bold, expressive forms. In very good condition, this lamp serves as both functional lighting and a sculptural statement piece.
