This extraordinary wall lamp by Brakelmann and Becker was designed and produced in Germany during the 1970s and represents a striking example of Brutalist lighting design. The largest version within this model series, it features two large ceramic relief elements in a rich green and brown palette mounted on a black slate base. When illuminated, the sculptural ceramic surfaces create a dramatic play of light and shadow, transforming the piece into more of a wall sculpture than a conventional light fixture. Equipped with two mirrored bulbs, the lamp enhances the atmospheric effect while emphasizing its bold material contrasts. It can be mounted horizontally or vertically, offering flexible installation options. The lamp remains in excellent, undamaged condition and stands as a powerful statement piece from the era of German Brutalism.
