This exceptional Model 411 cantilever armchair was originally produced in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s and is attributed to Thonet TON. A refined example of Central European modernism, the chair features a chromed tubular steel frame in excellent preserved condition, paired with elegantly shaped wooden armrests that have been newly refinished in a warm understated tone respecting the original character. The armchair has undergone comprehensive professional restoration, including preservation and cleaning of the original chrome, new internal fillings, high quality geometric upholstery by Romo, and full structural stabilization. The result maintains historical integrity while providing contemporary comfort and clarity of form. With its iconic cantilever silhouette and balanced proportions, this piece is ideal for private interiors or curated modernist collections seeking authentic 1930s design heritage.
