This architectural pedestal column dates from the 1920s and reflects the geometric refinement of European Art Deco design. Crafted from solid wood and carefully selected veneers, it combines warm medium-toned oak with contrasting wood inlays and dark ebonized stringing. The rectangular top features a richly grained central panel framed by mitered oak parquetry and a dark molded border. The sculptural central shaft has a subtle entasis, tapering toward the top and base, with horizontal ebonized bands and dark corner detailing emphasizing its architectural geometry. A multi-tiered stepped base with parquetry inlay and four low rectangular feet completes the composition. Ideal as a display stand for sculpture, ceramics or decorative objects. The piece shows vintage wear to the top surface, as visible in the images.
