The S35 L lounge chair, designed by Marcel Breuer in 1929, is one of the most celebrated examples of Bauhaus cantilever design. Breuer pushed innovation further by creating a double-cantilever structure, where the armrests form part of the continuous tubular steel frame, allowing the seat and armrests to flex independently for exceptional comfort. This vintage example, produced between 1950–1960, features beautifully aged original leather with a rich patina that reflects decades of authentic use. The saddle straps have been professionally restored, ensuring stability while preserving the chair’s character. A true Bauhaus icon, the S35 L embodies Breuer’s vision of modernity, lightness, and structural elegance, an ideal piece for collectors and design enthusiasts.
