This arc floor lamp was designed by Luigi Massoni and produced through the collaboration of Harvey and Guzzini in Italy during the 1960s. The lamp is a refined example of Italian mid century lighting design, combining sculptural presence with functional innovation. Its elegant arched structure creates a strong visual statement while remaining balanced and practical.
The base is made of white painted metal with a distinctive crackled finish, adding texture and character to the design. Integrated into the base is a small storage top, a thoughtful functional detail that reflects Massoni’s user oriented approach. The arc is crafted in chromed metal, providing a subtle contrast to the matte base, while the adjustable diffuser in white ABS allows the light to be directed as needed, making the lamp suitable for reading or ambient lighting.
Both decorative and practical, this arc lamp embodies the experimental spirit and material exploration of 1960s Italian design. It works equally well as a statement piece in a living room or as functional lighting in a modern interior.
