This antique solid pine chest of drawers, dating to circa 1840-1860, combines traditional farmhouse craftsmanship with Victorian and American Empire design influences. Built from solid pine, the commode features generous proportions, deep storage drawers and beautifully carved side elements that flow into the front legs, creating a soft, sculptural silhouette. The warm wood grain and naturally aged surface highlight its authentic antique character, with visible marks and patina, particularly on the tabletop. Carefully finished on both the front and back, the chest reflects the craftsmanship of its period. The drawer handles are later additions, while the original-style keyholes remain decorative, without functioning locks. Carefully inspected and cleaned, the piece remains structurally solid, fully functional and ready for immediate use. Ideal for a bedroom, living room or rustic interior, this timeless dresser offers practical storage and historical charm.
