This antique Danish chest of drawers originates from a traditional farmhouse in southern Denmark, where it was used for clothing storage. Crafted from solid pine, the cabinet features a decorative hand-painted finish imitating birch root veneer, created using layered yellow and orange tones to reproduce natural wood grain. Four spacious drawers provide practical storage, complemented by ornate brass fittings with Art Deco-inspired details. The three lower drawers measure 73 x 46 x 15.5 cm internally (W x D x H), while the upper drawer measures 73 x 46 x 11.5 cm. The original keys are missing, but replacement keys are included for use as drawer pulls rather than functioning locks. Despite the softer pine construction, the chest remains sturdy and substantial, preserved in very good vintage condition. Its warm colours and distinctive finish make it a charming addition to traditional, rustic or eclectic interiors.
