This elegant Model 240 sideboard, produced by Silkeborg Møbelfabrik in Denmark during the 1960s and attributed to Johannes Andersen, exemplifies the refined craftsmanship of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern furniture. Crafted from beautifully grained oak veneer with solid oak edging, frame and tapered legs, the cabinet combines clean architectural lines with exceptional functionality. Two smoothly sliding tambour doors reveal spacious compartments with adjustable shelves and three integrated maple wood drawers, creating a subtle contrast between the warm oak and lighter interior. Sculpted solid oak handles add an elegant organic detail, highlighting the quality of traditional Danish cabinetmaking. Presented in excellent vintage condition with only minor age-related wear, this rare sideboard offers timeless style and versatile storage for sophisticated living and dining interiors.
