This elegant Senator Series lounge chair, designed by Ole Wanscher for France & Søn in Denmark during the 1950s, exemplifies the refined craftsmanship of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern furniture. Crafted from solid teak wood, the armchair features gracefully sculpted armrests, organic proportions and a timeless silhouette that reflects Wanscher's distinctive design philosophy. The teak frame has been carefully refinished while preserving its beautiful original patina, with only minor signs of age-related wear. New comfortable foam cushions upholstered in beige-green fabric provide renewed comfort and a subtle contrast to the warm wood tones. The dust cover beneath the seat cushion has also been replaced. Beautifully presented and ready for use, this collectible Danish design classic is ideal for sophisticated living rooms, lounges and contemporary interiors.
