This striking Mid-Century Modern wingback armchair from the 1950s combines sculptural elegance with refined vintage craftsmanship. Featuring a tall backrest with subtly flared wings and integrated armrests, the chair offers a comfortable, enveloping silhouette. The vibrant multicoloured striped upholstery, dominated by deep indigo and scarlet tones, is complemented by decorative button-tufting along the interior backrest. Four tapered teak legs with original brass-capped ferrules provide a warm contrast to the bold fabric. The armrests measure 57 cm from the floor. The chair remains in excellent structural condition, with a solid, stable frame and vintage character. Its design recalls the work of Frits Henningsen, Fritz Hansen and Carl Malmsten, although the designer and manufacturer are unknown. An elegant statement piece for Scandinavian, Mid-Century Modern or eclectic interiors.
