This elegant set of four Tulip chairs, designed by Canadian designer Maurice Burke for Arkana in the 1970s, exemplifies the sleek innovation of mid-century modern design. The chairs feature light-colored fiberglass seat shells and sturdy aluminum bases, combining sculptural form with functional stability. Two of the chairs include a swivel mechanism with a smooth return function, while the other two remain fixed. All four come with black cotton seat cushions in excellent condition. The fiberglass shells are crack-free and display a beautifully aged patina, with only minimal wear on one corner. The metal bases show almost no signs of use. Timeless, comfortable, and highly collectible, these Arkana Tulip chairs capture the essence of 1970s modernism, refined simplicity, elegant materials, and enduring design quality.
