A rare postmodern statement piece, the Esprit modular sofa, designed in the 1980s by Brunati and Zerbaro for Brunati, epitomizes bold Italian design. Comprising two independent modules, it allows for flexible arrangements while maintaining a sculptural presence. The frame features black lacquered wood legs and curved armrests, paired with striking ochre suede seats and abstract-patterned fabric backs reminiscent of autumn leaves. Published in Casa Vogue in 1988, this model is among the most exclusive of its era and a highly sought-after collector’s piece. Dimensions (per unit): 87 × 100 × 70 cm.
