Very rare chair and stool set designed by Olof Kettunen for Merivaara in Finland during the 1950s, showcasing the refined simplicity and functional elegance of Scandinavian mid century modern design. Both pieces feature four slender grey metal legs paired with beautifully shaped ash plywood seats that curve gently upward for comfort and visual lightness. The combination of industrial metal and warm natural wood reflects the innovative Nordic design approach of the era, balancing practicality with timeless aesthetics. Preserved in full original condition, the set retains its authentic character and vintage appeal, making it highly desirable for collectors and design enthusiasts. With clean lines, sculptural forms, and versatile proportions, this rare Finnish design works beautifully in modern, minimalist, Scandinavian, and eclectic interiors.
