Rare pair of Compagnia delle Filippine lounge chairs designed by Antonio Citterio for B&B Italia in 1993. Created for the domestic market, these sculptural chairs reflect Citterio’s mastery of ergonomics, material precision and organic form. Each piece features a beechwood frame fully wrapped in hand woven leather straps, offering warmth, tactility and strong artisanal character. The flowing seat profile continues seamlessly into the rear legs, while sculpted solid wood armrests and aluminium capped front legs add refinement and balance. Structurally strong and visually striking, the leather shows natural patina and light wear consistent with use, enhancing authenticity. A highly collectible early 1990s design that highlights Citterio’s versatility beyond office furniture.
