This Aban T35C dining table or desk is an early and highly sought-after design by Pierre Chapo, produced in France during the 1970s and crafted entirely from solid elm. Renowned for his commitment to honest construction and expressive materiality, Chapo’s work is celebrated for its clarity, strength, and timeless appeal. Over decades of use, this piece has developed a rich natural patina across both the tabletop and base, giving it a warm and lively character that speaks to its age and craftsmanship. The sculptural base features four robust legs with Chapo’s signature angled edges, offering exceptional stability while introducing a subtle sense of movement. The generously proportioned top is finished with refined beveled edges, creating a harmonious balance between function and form. A versatile and iconic piece, equally suited as a dining table or a statement desk in refined interiors.
