Writing desk designed by Arne Vodder for Sibast Furniture of Denmark in the 1960s.

This desk has a top and drawer cabinet veneered in teak with pronounced solid teak edges. One side of the top has a raised solid teak edge that is typical of these designs. The frame is made from quality solid teak.
The top drawer is actually a pull out shelf with a glass top. The underside of the glass can be used to display photos or memorabilia for example.

The desk is in excellent refinished condition. The sides of the top have some small dents that are common with a desk of this age. The drawer cabinet used to have a locking mechanism, but this was removed some time ago. The keyhole on the leg side of the cabinet was also removed, leaving a hole. We filled this hole with a cut to size solid teak plug, that resembles the other plugs used in this design so it blends in nicely.
