The 'Selene' dining set (with matching 'Stadio' table), by Italian designer Vico Magistretti for Italian manufacturer Artemide, is a perfect example of 1960s design; a period during which both designers and manufacturers experimented with new, modern materials, colours and shapes, trying to reduce manufacturing costs on one side and create completely new and versatile designs on the other. The 'Selene' succeeded on all fronts. The table is fully demountable, the chairs are stackable, making this set very easy to store. On the other hand, both the design and the chosen colour is very bold and impossible to ignore. A true statement piece, bringing all the charm of 1960s design back into our modern homes! Set contains 1 dining table and 3 chairs, all marked at the bottom. The set is in very good vintage condition, with only minor traces of age-related wear.
