A stunning round white marble dining table from the 1970s, executed in the style of Angelo Mangiarotti and embodying the timeless elegance of Italian mid century modern design. The table features a refined circular marble top with beautiful grey veining throughout, resting on a sculptural conical pedestal base that creates a harmonious architectural silhouette. The exceptionally thin 2 cm tabletop enhances the visual lightness of the design while showcasing the natural beauty and sophistication of the marble. Inspired by Mangiarotti’s celebrated approach to combining geometry, material purity and structural simplicity, the table possesses a striking sculptural presence while remaining highly functional for everyday use. Its generous proportions comfortably accommodate dining or entertaining, while the central pedestal allows excellent seating flexibility, including chairs with armrests. Acquired in 1979 and retaining a partial original inventory label, the table remains in very good vintage condition. The marble top is free from cracks and significant scratches, with only minor restorations and small imperfections to the base consistent with age. A highly desirable statement piece that complements mid century modern, contemporary, minimalist and luxury interiors alike.
