This authentic Bauhaus-era Fb54 coffee table was designed by Czech architect Karel E. Ort and produced by Gottwald in Prague during the 1930s. A refined example of Czech Functionalism, the design combines architectural clarity with practical function through a chrome-plated tubular steel frame formed with soft, continuous curves. Two circular wooden tiers provide generous surface space while maintaining the table's light, geometric appearance. The piece has been expertly restored by a professional studio specializing in historic modernist furniture. The chrome has been carefully polished to revive its original brilliance while retaining subtle traces of age and character. Combining sculptural form, functional design and interwar craftsmanship, this collectible table is ideal for Bauhaus, Functionalist and modernist interiors.
