This Architectural Desk in walnut by Carlo De Carli from the 1950s features a solid, determined look, showcasing Italian design elegance. Known for his work as an architect, designer, and professor, De Carli infused his designs with architectural principles, blending simplicity with complexity.
The desk’s legs are integrated into the side panels, with rectangular recesses contrasting the trapezoidal shapes. Its luxurious walnut veneer, with a milled edge, adds depth, while the two floating chests of drawers and trapezoidal top highlight refined craftsmanship. The drawers are veneered all around, with a matte black and white Formica finish on the top and front.
In excellent condition with minimal signs of use, this desk is a striking example of Italian mid-century modern design.
