A unique and bespoke 19th century English Neo Jacobean architect's desk, masterfully handcrafted in solid oak. Designed with an ingenious metamorphic writing slope, the desk can be adjusted to over 90 different positions, allowing multiple heights and angles for drawing, writing, reading or displaying books and artwork. It retains its original black leather writing surface with an inlaid ink well, while two full-width oak-lined drawers provide generous storage beneath the worktop. Rich hand-carved decoration, including traditional Tudor rose motifs and elegant barley twist legs mounted on the original castors, reflects the exceptional craftsmanship of the Victorian period. Combining practicality with remarkable architectural presence, this rare antique desk is ideal for collectors, designers or those seeking a statement piece for a study, library or office. Presented in excellent, completely original condition.
