A striking Italian table lamp from the 1970s, attributed to Romeo Rega, combining geometric precision with the glamorous materials characteristic of the period. The design explores transparency, volume and colour through a sophisticated pairing of polished brass and mauve-amethyst Lucite. A large transparent cubic shade surrounds an internal cruciform brass structure supporting the light points, creating an intriguing sense of suspension and three-dimensional depth. The sculptural stem continues the geometric composition through alternating textured cubic elements and transparent details, all resting on a substantial square brass base. Bold yet refined, the lamp captures the luxurious character of 1970s Italian design and functions equally as atmospheric lighting and a sculptural decorative object.
