This XL desk was designed by Arne Vodder and manufactured by Sibast in Denmark during the 1960s and stands as an outstanding example of refined Danish modern office furniture. Executed in richly grained rosewood, the desk features beautiful natural drawings in the wood that underline the exceptional material quality. The generous proportions provide ample working space, enhanced by a newly upholstered black leather writing surface of very high quality. The open space around the drawer containers creates a light and floating visual effect, a signature element of Vodder’s elegant approach to form and proportion. The desk is fitted with four spacious drawers, offering practical storage, and finished with sleek chrome handles that add a subtle modern contrast to the warm rosewood. The key for locking the drawer boxes is missing. Maintained by a renowned Møbelfabrik workshop with over 35 years of experience in wood treatments, the desk is in very good condition. A sophisticated and highly functional centerpiece for a study or office.
