This antique Windsor style chair dates from the 1920s and originates from the United States, offering a rare and visually distinctive variation on the classic Windsor form. What makes this model especially eye catching is the unusual slatted backrest, combined with a traditional Windsor style seat and base, resulting in a unique and well balanced design. The chair is solid and structurally sound, suitable for everyday use or decorative display. The seat shows signs of age and use, including wear to the lacquer along the edges and one old repair, which does not affect stability or comfort. These details contribute to the chair’s authentic character and historical presence. A rare and characterful piece that blends traditional craftsmanship with an uncommon design variation.
