This curvy, low lounge chair dates from the 1970s and features an expressive wavy form crafted in pencil reed rattan and bamboo. The flowing silhouette and open weave create a light, organic presence that reflects the relaxed, sculptural approach to seating popular during the period. While these chairs are generally attributed to Italy in terms of style and distribution, production is believed to have taken place in East Asia, combining artisanal weaving techniques with bold design sensibility. The chair sits low to the ground, offering a casual and inviting lounge position that works well in living spaces, sunrooms, or eclectic interiors. It is in great vintage condition, with only very minor touch-ups carried out in the past and no missing elements or significant flaws, making it a well-preserved and characterful piece.
