This set of six Series 1 2 3 swivel chairs was designed in 1973 by Verner Panton and produced by Fritz Hansen in Denmark in 1978. Featuring the distinctive butterfly base, the chairs embody Panton’s sculptural and futuristic approach to seating design. Four examples are fitted with chromed armrests, adding functional comfort and visual contrast to the elegant silhouette. The chairs are upholstered in dark grey Divina fabric by Kvadrat, offering a refined texture and durable quality. Two chairs retain the original Fritz Hansen label, confirming authenticity. Sourced from a private home in Copenhagen, the set remains in very good vintage condition with normal age appropriate signs of use and minor scratches on the chrome consistent with time. Fully functional and ready to use.
