This splendid turned wood table lamp, made in the manner of Charles Dudouyt, celebrates the raw beauty of craftsmanship and the quiet poetry of a wabi sabi aesthetic. At some point the lamp was likely stripped of its original darker finish, revealing an unfinished wood surface that highlights the expressive lathe-turned form and natural grain. While Dudouyt lamps are often admired for their deep patinated tones, this lighter, more tactile version offers a striking and honest alternative that emphasizes material and form. The natural fabric shade is a later addition and complements the organic character of the lamp beautifully. Professionally rewired and fitted with a new bronze socket, the lamp is in excellent working condition and uses a standard E27 light bulb. A sculptural and atmospheric lighting piece that brings warmth, texture, and understated elegance to any interior.
