The Totem Terra floor lamp by Valerio Bottin for Foscarini, designed in the 1990s, is a distinctive example of Italian Postmodern lighting. The design features three molded polyethylene diffusers stacked vertically and supported by slender lacquered aluminum uprights, creating a soft layered illumination that enhances both contemporary and eclectic interiors. Each vertical support houses three individually switchable light sources, allowing flexible control and atmospheric variation. The composition balances architectural clarity with ambient warmth, characteristic of late twentieth century Italian design. Labelled Foscarini Totem Terra, with the Foscarini logo embossed inside each diffuser, the lamp remains in very good condition with light wear to the lower section of one upright as shown in the photo. A sculptural and functional statement piece from a celebrated Italian manufacturer.
