The Tivoli floor lamp was designed in 1956 by Floris Fiedeldij for Artimeta in Soest and is a distinctive example of Dutch mid century modern lighting with clear French influences. The design is defined by clean lines, a semi open circular base, and a beautifully detailed hinge that supports a rare and streamlined lampshade. While the best known version features a round nipple shaped shade, this more refined variant aligns closely with the geometry of the base, resulting in a cohesive and balanced silhouette. Finished in black and white, the lamp remains in its original condition and shows wear and signs of use consistent with age. This has been intentionally preserved to maintain its authenticity and character. Produced during a period when Artimeta collaborated with designers such as Mathieu Mategot, the lamp reflects a shared design language rooted in lightness, structure, and functional elegance. The floor lamp is fitted for an E27 bulb and is compatible with LED. In some countries, a travel converter or alternative plug may be required.
