An elegant TISCA “Vermont” rug, produced in France during the late 20th century and reflecting the refined language of European Modernist textile design. The composition is built around a calm soft green field, punctuated by restrained geometric forms in lighter tones, while subtle blue and yellow lines near the lower edge introduce rhythm and chromatic contrast. Hand-tufted from 100% pure new wool, the rug has a dense, soft surface that combines warmth and comfort with excellent durability. Its minimalist geometry and carefully balanced palette make it particularly versatile within Modernist, Mid-Century Modern and contemporary interiors. Originally conceived as a floor covering, its graphic composition also lends itself beautifully to display as a wall-mounted textile artwork. The original label identifies the design as the Vermont model. A sophisticated example of TISCA’s approach to architectural textiles, combining artisanal production with understated modern design.
