An exceptional early-production Tandem Sling three-seat bench designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1962 as a modular seating system for airports and public interiors. This example retains its original black vinyl upholstery, featuring distinctive geometric seat and back panels suspended within sculptural polished cast-aluminium frames mounted on a central steel beam. Padded black armrests complete the architectural composition, while the sweeping aluminium profiles and reclined seats create the light, aerodynamic character typical of the Eameses’ work. Presented in good original vintage condition, with local upholstery wear and authentic scratches, oxidation and patina to the aluminium. Dimensions: W 185 × D 70 × H 85 cm. Seat height: 40 cm.
