This rare table lamp was produced by Stilux Milano in the 1950s and is a striking example of Italian modernist lighting design from the period. Sculptural in form, the lamp is composed of brass, opaline glass, and an original red transparent acrylic visor, a particularly rare feature as most known examples were produced with metal elements instead of acrylic. The opaline glass sphere emits a warm and softly diffused light, while the acrylic visor can be rotated over the glass to adjust the direction and angle of illumination, adding both functionality and visual interest. Over time, the brass has developed a beautiful natural patina, and the acrylic visor shows signs of wear consistent with age and use, reinforcing the lamp’s authenticity.
