This Danish rosewood table was designed by Gunni Omann and produced by Omann Jun in Denmark during the 1970s. It represents a mature phase of Danish modern design, where precision craftsmanship and restrained elegance were paired with expressive natural materials. Executed in richly figured rosewood, the table highlights the depth and variation of the wood grain that made this material especially prized in Scandinavian furniture of the period.
Omann Jun, a family-run manufacturer, was known for its close collaboration with Gunni Omann and for producing high-quality furniture that balanced functionality with refined aesthetics. This table reflects that legacy through its solid construction and timeless proportions, making it a versatile piece suitable for both contemporary and classic interiors.
The table is in good vintage condition, showing light wear consistent with age and use, and retains a well-preserved surface with an authentic patina. As an original 1970s Danish design, it stands as a collectible and enduring example of Omann’s contribution to Scandinavian modernism.
