This extremely rare Sputnik floor lamp, attributed to Stilnovo and manufactured in Italy around 1950, is a striking example of early Space Age–influenced Italian lighting design. Adjustable in height, the lamp is crafted from high-quality brass with a beautifully developed patina that enhances its sculptural presence. The base is composed of three slightly curved, black-lacquered flat metal uprights, accented with refined brass elements that add contrast and structural elegance. Multiple slender brass arms extend outward, each supporting a carefully shaped light bulb that emits a bright, balanced glow when illuminated. Surrounding the central structure are additional coloured rods, introducing a subtle modernist accent and reinforcing the dynamic, atomic-inspired aesthetic typical of the period. Preserved in good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, this lamp retains its original character and material richness. A rare and highly collectible statement piece, it brings dramatic visual impact and authentic mid-century Italian design into any interior.
