This Italian sofa bed from the 1970s is a refined example of multifunctional seating design, combining practicality with the clean, lightweight aesthetic typical of Italian furniture from the era. Produced in Italy, the piece is built on a metal structure with matching legs, offering robust support while maintaining a visually light profile. The sofa bed has been professionally renovated with new foam and reupholstered in a high-quality green melange fabric that brings a fresh, contemporary feel while respecting the original silhouette. Designed to unfold into a comfortable reclining and sleeping surface, it offers versatile use for living spaces, guest rooms, or design-led interiors. An optional front rail adds functional support and reflects thoughtful adaptation for everyday comfort. Presented in ready-to-use condition, the sofa bed shows signs of age and use consistent with its history, all visible in the photographs. A practical yet characterful piece, this 1970s Italian sofa bed successfully bridges classic design heritage with modern usability.
