This authentic drop arm sofa bed was designed by Illum Wikkelsø and produced in the early 1970s by Hestbæks Møbelfabrik in Denmark. A refined example of Scandinavian functionalism, the sofa features elegantly engineered fold down arms that allow it to transform effortlessly into a comfortable daybed. Upholstered in its original orange red furniture wool, it retains the original mesh and spring seat construction, ensuring both comfort and structural integrity. The solid oak frame adds warmth and visual balance, characteristic of Danish modern design from the period.
