A striking Murano art glass bowl signed Barovier, distinguished by its elaborate sculptural composition and rich interplay of colour. The rounded body is executed in shaded ruby-red blown glass and raised on a circular clear glass foot, while an undulating transparent glass rim captures and reflects the light around the upper edge. Two sinuous clear glass elements extend from the sides, each surmounted by a contrasting black sculptural head facing outward and embellished with an elaborate gold-brown headdress with raised decorative details. The combination of ruby red, transparent, black and golden tones gives the piece a theatrical presence characteristic of highly decorative Murano glasswork. Both functional as a bowl and compelling as a standalone decorative object, it makes an expressive addition to a Murano glass collection or sophisticated interior. Signed Barovier.
