This rare pair of Model 110 dining chairs was designed by Ico Parisi in 1961 for Figli di Amedeo Cassina in Meda and represents a key moment in his architectural approach to furniture design. The model is well documented in the Parisi catalogue raisonné and showcases his refined ability to balance structure, lightness, and comfort. Each chair is crafted with a dark stained solid teak frame, defined by sweeping curves, sculptural backrest supports, and a sharply arced front stretcher that adds visual tension to the elegant silhouette. The gently angled backrest and generous seat provide excellent comfort while maintaining a slender, modern profile. The chairs have been recently reupholstered in a burnt orange fabric that complements the warm teak tones and enhances their mid century Italian character. Both chairs are structurally sound, retain their original frames, and present beautifully as authentic, thoughtfully restored examples of Parisi’s work.
