The Kali sofa set, consisting of a three seater and a two seater, was designed in the 1970s by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset in France and reflects the designer’s innovative, comfort-driven approach to modern seating. Closely related in spirit to Ducaroy’s iconic lounge designs of the period, the Kali model is defined by its soft, low-slung silhouette and relaxed proportions, offering an inviting and informal seating experience. The design emphasizes ergonomics and everyday comfort while maintaining a strong sculptural presence that is characteristic of 1970s French modernism. Together, the two sofas create a cohesive and visually balanced seating arrangement, suitable for both spacious living areas and curated design interiors. Offered in good vintage condition with signs of age consistent with use, this set represents an authentic and collectible example of Michel Ducaroy’s enduring influence on contemporary furniture design.
