A rare set of seven Model 62 dining chairs designed by Alvar Aalto and produced by Artek at the Hedemora factory in Sweden during the 1950s. These iconic Scandinavian Modern chairs showcase Aalto's pioneering bent birch construction, combining organic forms with exceptional comfort and timeless functionality. Crafted from laminated bent birch, each chair retains its original velvet upholstered seat and backrest, while the reverse of the back features elegant button detailing that subtly enhances the architectural design. Every chair is stamped "Aalto Möbler Svensk Kvalitetsprodukt," confirming its desirable Swedish licensed production, a rarer variant than the Finnish examples. Perfect for dining rooms, conference spaces or curated interiors, this collectible set embodies the warmth, craftsmanship and enduring appeal of Mid Century Scandinavian design. Presented in good vintage condition with minor fading and age-related wear consistent with their history.
