Rare set of six armless upholstered dining chairs designed by Pierre Jeanneret, model PJ-SI-25-E, made in Chandigarh, India in 1960 with provenance from Punjab University. The design features Jeanneret’s distinctive compass type double side leg assembly, connected by two crosspieces at the top, offering a bold architectural profile and excellent stability. Crafted in teak with a strong, aged patina that reflects authentic use, the chairs have been lightly washed and polished to preserve their character. The upholstery is new faux leather, giving a clean, practical finish while respecting the original modernist spirit. A highly collectible Chandigarh set that works beautifully around a dining table, in a meeting space, or as statement seating in a curated interior.
