A striking set of four Italian cantilever dining chairs from the 1970s, combining Bauhaus-influenced geometry with the richer materiality of Italian Modernist design. Continuous chrome-plated tubular steel frames sweep from the cantilevered bases into the armrests and exposed backs, supporting suspended dark brown hair-on cowhide seats and backrests. The sling-like construction creates a relaxed sculptural profile, while the contrast between polished chrome and naturally aged hide gives the set distinctive character. Presented in good vintage condition, the original cowhide displays pronounced patina, including rubbing, hair loss, scratches, edge wear and small areas of loss, with one seat showing a more noticeable tear or older repair. The chrome remains bright overall with minor scratches and scuffs.
