This gorgeous set of three pencil reed pendant lamps dates from the 1970s and is generally attributed to Italy, where such designs were widely distributed, while production most likely took place in East Asia. Woven from natural rattan, the pendants share an identical sculptural shape, with only subtle variations that naturally occur through handcrafting. Originally designed as counterbalance pendants, they can still be used in this way or easily hung directly from their brass ceiling caps, as shown. One brass ceiling cap has a slightly different shape, adding a small, authentic variation within the set. All three lamps have been professionally rewired, tested, and are in excellent working condition. They are fitted for standard E27 light bulbs and supplied with generous new wiring, allowing a hanging height of up to 175 cm. Warm, organic, and highly decorative, this set brings texture and relaxed 1970s character to dining spaces, kitchens, or layered lighting installations.
